11 Days Western Omo People Tour: Anuak, Nuer, Dizi and Surma Tribes

Day 1: Arrive in Addis Ababa, On arrival in Addis Ababa you will be met by our team and transferred to Hotel.
Day 2: Nekemte:
After breakfast drive to Nekemte through the western direction of the country visiting the beautiful scenery and the Shoa & Wolega Oromo tribe and their village.
Day 3: Metu:
After breakfast drive to Metu: After crossing Didasa River we will stop at the town of Bedele for lunch. You then drive through the indigenous natural forests of Western Ethiopia and it is a good place to experience the life of the local people residing in the region.
Day 4: Gambella:
Continue driving to Gambella via Gore. Today also you will be driving through the indigenous natural forest of Western Ethiopia. Again this place is the famous place in Tea farms.
Day 5: Gambella:
Morning in Gambella National park and around Baro River. In the afternoon an excursion trip to Itang to visit the Neuer people.
Day 6: Mizan Teferi:
Drive from Gambella to Mizan Teferi through Bebeka coffee plantation, Ethiopia’s largest old coffee plantation. On the way visit the Menit , Yem and the Dizi tribes.
Day 7: Kibish:
Continue driving further to the west from Mizan Teferi to Tum through Bebeka coffee plantation, Ethiopia’s largest old coffee plantation. On the way visit the Menit tribe. After crossing the Akobo River you experience the African Savanna grassland. You will stop at the little town of Dimma for lunch. Pass the small Surma’s village of Tulgit and we drive to Kibish. The rest of the day walk around your campsite to visit the Surma people.
Day 8: Kibish:
Drive to the nearby Surma village to visit the Surma people the whole day.
Overnight Camping at Kibish
Day 9: Mizan Teferi:
Then drive the same way back to Mizan teferi via Dima town.
Day 10: Jimma:
Drive from Mizan Teferi to Jimma through the Ethiopia’s indigenous dense forest. The people living in this area are from Kefecho, Yem and Bench ethnic groups. This place is famous for its coffee, tea and spice growing region from all over the country.
Day 11: Addis Ababa:
After breakfast drive to Addis Ababa. Evening a fare well diner party in one of the traditional Ethiopian restaurants with dances from the different ethnic groups. Finally transfer to the airport for your flight back home .
