14 Days Elewana Road Safaris Exclusive Tour Package
This Exclusive Tour Package has been tailored for sightseeing purposes; and also to enable the traveler to interact with the locals even as they have a “feel” about the communities that live and interact with wildlife daily. This safari is both an Eco-tour, a cultural safari and a wildlife adventure; all undertaken in tip-top luxury in classic camps and lodges in exclusive surroundings. Day 1 Arrive in Nairobi
Arrive in Nairobi, pick up at the airport (Jomo Kenyatta International Airport) and transfer to Hemingway’s Nairobi Hotel, a 5 star boutique all suites hotel. Each of the suites has a private balcony overlooking the iconic silhouette of the Ngong Hills, famous as the backdrop of the epic movie “Out of Africa” showcasing the life of Karen Blixen. Later in the day you are briefed about your safari itinerary by our “Meet and Greet” team and have an option of visiting the Giraffe Center to interact with these endangered species of the Rothschild giraffes. Day 2 Nairobi – Mt Kenya National Park
After breakfast we depart from Nairobi driving along the Thika super highway headed north passing through the suburbs of Nairobi and the lush coffee and pineapple plantation. We arrive at the Serena Mountain Lodge – a tree-hotel at the foothills of the snow-peaked Mount Kenya which is sited in the Mt Kenya Forest.
The afternoon is spent relaxing and watching wildlife from the balcony of Serena Mountain Lodge that has been built on stilts. The wildlife comes to drink at the floodlit salt-lick that is located in front of the hotel and where a wide variety of animals troop in throughout the evening. Dinner is taken at the lodge with an overnight stay. Meal plan: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.
Day 3 Mt Kenya National Park – Loisaba Conservancy
Early morning drive after breakfast for Loisaba Tented Camp in Loisaba Wildlife Conservancy. Loisaba is a 56,000 acre wildlife conservancy located in Laikipia, a few kilometers north of the equator. All meals and overnight at Loisaba Eco-lodge
Day 4 Loisaba Conservancy
A full day engaged in the activities that are available in the lodge. Dinner and overnight stay at Loisaba Eco-lodge. Meal plan: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.
Day 5 Loisaba Conservancy – Serena Sweetwaters
After breakfast depart for Sweet water Luxury Tented Camp arriving in time for lunch. Sweet water Luxury Tented is in the famous Ol Pejeta Conservancy and is home to the only chimps found in Kenya. After Lunch afternoon game drives is planned. Dinner and an overnight stay at Sweetwaters Luxury Tented Camp Meal Plan: Meal plan: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.
Day 6 Serena Sweetwaters – Lake Nakuru
After breakfast we devote most of the morning involved in some of the following activities:-Bush walks, birding walks, a visit to the rhino sanctuary, a visit to the Jane Goodall Chimp Sanctuary and, possibly, another game drive. We return to the camp at midday for an early lunch before departing and driving past the equator to Lake Nakuru. This drive takes us through some scenic Rift Valley farmlands and we reach the exceptional Mbweha Camp just outside Lake Nakuru National Park in the evening. Meal plan: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.
Day 7 Lake Nakuru
A full day is spent at Lake Nakuru National Park. Lake Nakuru is home to thousands of pink flamingos, rhinos, waterbuck, buffalo among many other wildlife and bird-life. Return to the camp for dinner and overnight. Meal plan: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.
Day 8 Lake Nakuru – Masai Mara National Park
We leave the Mbweha Camp with its beautiful vistas and drive through the floor of the Rift Valley, past Narok County on the Masai Plains to the famous Masai Mara National Park. Arrive at Sand River Luxury Tented Camp for lunch. After a short siesta we spend the later part of the afternoon looking for the numerous wildlife that grace this park. Return to the camp for dinner and an overnight stay. Mean plan: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.
Day 9 Masai Mara National Park
A full day is spent in the Masai Mara National Park – home of the Great Wildebeest Migration. Every June to July and sometimes up to August hundreds of thousands of wildebeest accompanied by hundreds of zebra and other antelopes migrate from the Serengeti National Park to Kenya searching for pasture. These wildebeest are followed by various predators that pick off the old, infirm and the young. This is one of the major attractions of the Mara; apart from the high density of wildlife and birds. After dinner and an overnight at Sand River Luxury Tented Camp Meal plan: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.
Day 10 Masai Mara National Park
We spend another full day in Masai Mara National Park which is the jewel in the crown of Kenya tourism. We have a chance to go further afield in this extensive park flashing out the numerous species that grace this unique game sanctuary. Alternatively we can use the afternoon to engage in the other activities that are available here such as:- Bush meals and sundowners, Cultural experiences, Visit to a local school supported by Land and Life Foundation and Balloon safaris. Return to Sand River Luxury Tented Camp for dinner and an overnight stay. Meal plan: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.
Day 11 Masai Mara National Park – Mombasa, Diani
After breakfast transfer to the Airstrip for your flight to Mombasa via Nairobi. Lunch in Nairobi and proceed in the afternoon to Mombasa. Pick up and drive to the AfroChic Beach Hotel arriving in the mid afternoon. Lunch is taken after dinner overnight at AfroChic Beach Hotel.
Day 12 Mombasa Diani
Diani Beach can be a destination of supreme relaxation, or action and adrenaline, depending on what tickles your fancy. Rise late, and saunter down to the beach for a morning swim followed by brunch, and an afternoon of reading, relaxing and soaking up the sun. Or indulge in one of a myriad of adventures and activities on offer – snorkeling, diving, deep-sea fishing, kite-surfing, whale and dolphin watching, dhow cruises, sailing, sky diving, micro-light flying, quad bike safaris, golf, a visit to Shimba Hills National Park or a day trip to Mombasa to see the historical sites… the list goes on. Diani has something for everyone.
Day 13 Mombasa Diani Beach
Diani Beach ~ the ultimate beach holiday destination, Diani has a vast variety of activities and excursions on offer. A plethora of water sports from scuba to snorkeling, deep-sea fishing to sailing; wind surfing to dolphin and whale watching. While on dry land: day trips to Shimba Hills National Reserve and Mombasa City, quad biking, cookery classes and micro light flights are just a few activities available. And of course there is always the favorite coastal pastime of relaxing and soaking up the sun on the beach. With such a variety of options, visitors to Diani have the ability to make their holiday what they want.
Day 14 Mombasa – Nairobi
Breakfast at hotel. Transfer to Diani Ukunda airport for the flight back to Nairobi. Transfer to the international airport to check-in for your flight home.
