Annual eclipse of the sun in Tanzania on September

5 Day Experience Tanzania Wildlife

Day 1: Arusha to Tarangire

Pick up from your hotel in Arusha and drive with picnic lunch to Tarangire National Park for a full day game viewing, which of all Tanzania parks boasts the largest number of Savannah elephants. Named for the river that nourishes the wildlife of a vast ecosystem, Tarangire is also home to zebra, wildebeest, gazelle, buffalo, eland, water buck, lion, giraffe, onyx and an unsurpassed diversity of birds. On drier ground, you may find the Kori bustard, the heaviest flying bird, ostrich, the world’s largest bird, and small parties of ground hornbills blustering like turkeys. Other birds include the yellow-collared lovebird, from June to November, masses of wildlife congregate around the river, but the park is a stronghold for big game year-round. After game drive, retire to your beautifully designed tented lodge, hidden among ancient baobab trees and giant rock kopjes within the park. Dinner and overnight at Karatu Angani Tented camp.

Day 2: Serengeti National Park

Early in the morning, you drive to Serengeti via Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Picnic lunch will be served on the way. We arrive in Serengeti in time for an exciting game viewing drive in one of the best game parks in Tanzania. Covering an area of 14,763 square kilometers, the world famous Serengeti National Park is Tanzania’s oldest park and one of the world’s last great wildlife refuges. It stretches as far as Lake Victoria to the West. Its name comes from the Masai word Siringet, meaning ‘endless plains’. Dinner and overnight at Serengeti Angani Tented Camp. Full Board

Day 3: Serengeti National Park

If you rise early, you can take a morning game drive through the park to see the nocturnal predators returning from their nightly hunt and very active animals waking up in the early morning light. Depending on the time of year and the migration of the herds, you can expect to see wildebeest, lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, monkeys, baboons, hippos, rhinos, antelopes, birds, and other species.
we enjoy morning and afternoon game viewing drives on the vast Serengeti plains. In the early morning and evening light, the Serengeti landscape is stunningly beautiful. The Serengeti ecosystem supports the greatest remaining concentration of plains game in Africa, including more than three million large mammals. The park is one that can never disappoint. One is spoilt by the variety of bird and wildlife species in this game reserve. Depending with wildlife movement, we can have hot lunch at the camp or enjoy picnic lunch.

Day 4: Ngorongoro Crater

After breakfast, we break the camp and drive south towards Ngorongoro. The drive is scenic and on arrival, we descend some 610 meters into the crater, which is home to an abundance of wildlife and a photogenic paradise, for a full day of game viewing drive with picnic lunch at a private scenic site (hippos pool). Ngorongoro Crater, the largest intact caldera in the world teams with an abundance of wildlife permanently resident on the crater floor. Prides of lions, herds of Cape buffalo, impala, Thompson gazelles, rhino, golden and black backed jackal, zebra, cheetah, leopard and the spotted hyena freely roam on the crater floor plains. Unmatched for its natural variety and breath taking beauty, there are few places on earth where such a tremendous diversity of landscapes exist inside a region this size. Apart from its wildlife riches, the crater is also home to hundreds of bird species, refreshing in the small lakes in the crater floor. Spend the night few minutes’ drive from Ngorongoro. Day 5: Lake Manyara then to Arusha

After breakfast, you depart for Lake Manyara National Park with picnic lunch boxes. Nestling at the base of the Great Rift Valley escarpment, A beautiful park, Lake Manyara contains a diverse range of habitats and topographical features ranging from the rift wall, ground water forest, acacia woodlands, and open grasslands to the shores of Lake Manyara and the lake itself. The park provides sanctuary to a variety of animals such as the gazelle, impala, buffalo, wildebeest, hyena, baboon, giraffe, hippo, and the famous tree-climbing lions that are unique to the Lake. 6 Day Big Game Wild

Day 1: Nairobi – Masai Mara

Depart from Nairobi in the morning with pick up from your hotel and drive along the floor of the Rift Valley to Masai Mara arriving at the camp in the afternoon for lunch. Afternoon game drives followed by dinner and overnight stay at Mara Sidai Camp or similar.

Day 2: Masai Mara

10 Day Kenya & Tanzania Adventurer Safari

Day 1: Arrival into Nairobi’s Jomo Kenyatta International Airport. After clearing customs and immigration formalities, you are met by our representative and transferred to the Hotel where we spend the night. Day 2: After breakfast, your driver guide will pick you latest 7.30 am and depart for Masai Mara Game Reserve driving along the floor of the Rift Valley. You will take a brief stop at Kijabe viewpoint for a few shots of this amazing natural phenomenon. Proceed on via the towns Mai Mahiu and further on past Narok town to arrive at Mara Bush Camp in time for lunch. Afternoon game drives in Masai Mara Game Reserve as per your convenience. Masai Mara Game Reserve is one of the best National Reserves in Africa and offers superb game viewing opportunities throughout the year. Meals and overnight at Mara Osero Enarau Camp. Full Board

Day 3: Full day in the Masai Mara Game Reserve with unlimited game drives thus your driver guide will organize packed breakfast or lunch if you like. You could also enjoy just a morning and afternoon game drive if you prefer or simply go out for a longer morning game drive or even a full day game drive as explained above. Meaning dotted plains in the Masai language, Mara is a vast area with scattered pockets of acacia woodland inhabiting a wide variety of fauna. Day 4: Early morning game drive back to camp for breakfast. After breakfast, leave the camp for another full day game drive. Day 5: After breakfast, depart for Lake Victoria with picnic lunches driving eastwards towards the Kenya – Tanzania border with a game drive enroute. On arrival at Isebania border post, you will swap the vehicles and take the Tanzanian registered vehicle. You will be assisted by your driver guide through the border crossing process and thereafter proceed on to arrive at Speke Bay Lodge in the afternoon. Spend rest of the afternoon at leisure. The Speke Bay Lodge is located on the southeastern shore of Lake Victoria in Tanzania. The Speke Bay is part of Speke Gulf, named after the famous explorer John Hanning Speke. Surrounded by Savannah landscape is the Lodge looks like a small village, stretched out along the shores of the lake. Meals and overnight at Speke Bay. Full Board

Day 6: After breakfast, drive to the famous Serengeti National Park to arrive at your Camp for lunch. After lunch, proceed on your first unlimited game drive in Tanzania in search of wildlife. Serengeti is one of the most unique wilderness areas of the world, fantastic in its natural beauty and unequaled in its scientific value. This park is a vast expanse of land with a large concentration of plains animals. It also contains a wide variety of bird-life inhabiting a diversity of habitat and vegetation. One of the unique remarkable scenes is the annual migration of wildebeest, zebras, giraffe, gazelle, buffalo, and other plains animals. Meals and overnight at Kati Kati Tented Camp. Full Board

Day 7: Full day in Serengeti with unlimited game drives in the Park with packed breakfast or lunch if you like. You could also enjoy just a morning and afternoon game drive if you prefer or simply go out for a longer morning game drive or full day game drive. Meals and overnight at Kati Kati Tented Camp. Day 8: After breakfast, check out from the camp and drive to Ngorongoro Conservation Area with a game drive en-route to arrive at your lodge in time for lunch. Proceed for an afternoon game drive in the conservation area. Your driver will stop at the Olduvai gorge for a short trip back into history, about the evolution of mankind, also known as the cradle of mankind. Afternoon at leisure or you could enjoy the various lodge facilities. The lodge also offers a spectacular view into the crater and you could enjoy this over a cup of coffee / tea. Meals and overnight at Ngorongoro Sopa Lodge. Full board

Day 9: Depart the lodge with picnic breakfast and lunch for a full day game drive down to the 600m deep crater. The crater has an incomparably high game density and is 20 km in diameter with one of the largest calderas in the world. He is known as one of the last refuges to living here with the black rhino. Here we see elephants, lions, buffaloes, rhinos, and all grazers of the plains. The bird life here is very interesting. You will then depart for Lake Manyara National Park at approx. 1600 Hrs, known for its tree climbing lions. You will arrive at the Lodge in time for dinner. Meals and overnight at Kirurumu Manyara Lodge. Full Board

Day 10: Early morning game drives in the Lake Manyara National Park until early afternoon. The Lake Manyara National Park offers not only the wild wealth of the other northern parks, but has a breathtaking location and the main attractions are tree climbing lions and hippos, to which one comes closer than elsewhere. But above all, the many flamingos that inhabit the lake offer fantastic setting. Then you would visit the village MTO WA MBU where you can experience a traditional lunch at “Mamas”. Later in the afternoon, head back to Arusha. Your driver could take you to a local restaurant of your choice for dinner (payable direct) and then proceed to the airport for your flight back home or to your onward flight to Zanzibar for a beach extension (Optional).

The Mara offers wildlife in such variety and abundance that it is difficult to believe: over 450 species of animals have been recorded here. You will easily see lions, rhinos, hippos, crocodiles, giraffe, wildebeests, zebras, buffalo, warthogs, hyenas, jackals, wild dogs, buffalo, leopard, many kinds of antelopes and elephant. It is in the Mara that perhaps the most spectacular event of the natural world takes place. This is the annual migration of millions of wildebeest and zebra from the Serengeti (Tanzania) in search of water and pasture. Following on their heels are the predators of the savanna- lion, cheetah, wild dog, jackal, hyena, and vultures.

Day 6: Masai Mara – Serengeti

A full day game viewing drive as we explore this vast nature rich wildlife reserve. Options of morning and afternoon or full day game viewing drives are available to you. The annual wildebeest migration is Serengeti’s most famous attraction.
Other wildlife includes cheetah, zebra, giraffe, Thomson’s and Grant’s gazelle, eland, impala, klipspringer, hippo and warthog. Overnight at your Savannah Serengeti tented camp.

Day 7: Serengeti Game Reserve

Full day in Serengeti with unlimited game drives in the Park with packed breakfast or lunch if you like. You could also enjoy just a morning and afternoon game drive if you prefer or simply go out for a longer morning game drive or full day game drive. Meals and overnight at Savannah Serengeti tented camp.

Day 8: Serengeti – Ngorongoro

Early breakfast 6:00 am, there after depart for Ngorongoro with picnic lunches. Descend in to the crater floor for the half day crater tour. There are only two roads that connect the crater rim with the crater floor, one for driving down, one for driving up and another that goes both ways. The crater is roughly 20 km/12 mi wide and 600 m/2,000 ft deep, once you’ve reached the top of the caldera it takes about 45 minutes to descend to the crater floor. The floor is home to a rich and highly concentrated wildlife. Some 20,000 mammals of size live there, including about 20 black rhinoceros, making the crater the best place in Tanzania to see the rhino. The crater floor also has one of the highest carnivore densities in the world. Lions, cheetahs, hyenas and jackals are commonly seen, while leopards may be seen with some good luck. You will spend most of the day in the crater. Dinner and overnight at Ngorongoro Rhino Lodge.

Day 9: Ngorongoro – Tarangire

After breakfast, drive to Tarangire. Lunch En route followed by an afternoon Game drive through Tarangire. Tarangire National park is 2850 Square kilometers making it the sixth largest park in Tanzania and offering the greatest concentration of wildlife outside the Serengeti. Tarangire is known for its large herds of Elephants which can be viewed at close range. Other animals likely to be seen throughout Tarangire are wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, gazelle, rhino, warthog, impala, pythons, lions, leopards, and over 50 species of birds. Accommodation at Tarangire safari lodge.

Day 10: Tarangire – Arusha – Amboseli

Silk Route to Kanchipuram, South India

Silk Route to Kanchipuram is a day trip from Chennai to Kanchipuram to meet the legendary silk saree weavers. On offer is a unique experience of the fine art of making silk sarees. Guests also get to visit organic farms in the area to experience paddy cultivation and biogas production from cow dung. Interactions are planned with the farmers to get an authentic perspective of organic farming in the region. The tour ends with a visit to an ancient Pallava dynasty temple.
