Safari Tour Cost: $ 2990.00 per person
Day 1: Arusha — Lake Manyara Park
Pick up from Hotel in Arusha, depart for Lake Manyara Park, game drive in the park with picnic lunches, late afternoon drive to your hotel, dinner and overnight Lake Manyara Hotel
Lake Manyara, a small breathtaking National Park with an immense natural richness — home of over 380 bird species, including the thousands of flamingos that tint the soda waters of the Lake pink and the famous tree-climbing lions, which for reasons unknown sleep in the branches of acacia trees.
Day 2: Lake Manyara Park — Lake Natron
After breakfast, depart for Natron, with picnic lunches, afternoon walking around the lake, dinner and overnight Lake Natron Tented Camp
Lake Natron is a saline lake located in Northern Tanzania, close to the Kenyan border, in Tanzania’s Great Rift Valley. The lake is quite shallow, less than three meters (10 feet) deep, and varies in width depending on its water level. Lake Natron is a fascinating, almost surreal location. Due to salt-loving microorganisms that live in the alkali salt crust of the lake’s surface, the lake is often red or pink in colour. The lake is also the only breeding site for 2.5 million Lesser Flamingoes, because the caustic environment is a barrier against predators trying to reach the flamingoes’ nests.
Day 3: Lake Natron
Full day in Natron (midnight trekking towards to the Mount Oldonyo Lengai), Dinner and overnight Lake Natron Tented Camp
Day 4: Lake Natron — Lobo Area (Northern Serengeti)
After breakfast, morning depart for Lobo Area (Northern Serengeti), with picnic lunches, en-route game drive, dinner and overnight Lobo Wildlife Lodge
Lobo Area (Northern Serengeti) to the north of the Serengeti and is a wilder region with large granite outcrops nestling in the rolling green hills. Particuarly worth visiting if you like to escape the beaten track. Lobo also supports larger populations of elephant than elsewhere in the park and has excellent birding.
Predators are also in abundance all the year round. However if you wish to see the spectacular Wildebeet Migration visit the Lobo region of the Serengeti from October to September. This is rain dependent of course.
Day 5: Lobo Area (Northern Serengeti) — Central Serengeti
After breakfast, depart for Central Serengeti, game drive in the park with picnic lunches, dinner and overnight Seronera Wildlife lodge
Central Serengeti offers undeniably good game viewing, it is defined by wide long-grass plains framed by rocky hills, and river courses fringed with yellow barked (often leopard filled) acacia trees.
Day 6: Serengeti National Park
After breakfast, Full day game drive in Serengeti National Park, with picnic lunches, dinner and overnight Seronera Wildlife Lodge
Serengeti National Park is one of the best places to go on safari in Africa. Serengeti is derived from the Maasai word ‘siringet’ that means ‘endless plains’. This is a fitting description of the dry and tree-less central plains of the park that continue into western and northern Ngorongoro Conservation Area. It is in these plains that the splendour of Serengeti manifests itself during the rainy season which extends from November to May.
The plains appear to be filled by millions of wildebeest (also called gnu), dispersed in all directions, with pockets of other plains game such as zebra and gazelles, and attending predators and scavengers.
Another spectacle starts towards the end of the dry season, when water and grass become scarce in the open plains. The wildebeest move west, this time in long lines that can appear endless, with one wildebeest galloping after another as though they were being chased. Zebra, other antelopes and some of the predators follow in their footsteps. Such a spectacle is best observed and appreciated from the air.
Day 7: Serengeti National Park — Arusha
After early breakfast, drive back to Arusha for lunch at Implala Hotel. Then transferred to Kilimanjaro Airport to end your safari. (Or get accommodation in Arusha at an extra cost at a Hotel of your choice).
