Here you will discover a genuine seventh heaven made up of almost only deserted beaches, cliffs and crags among exceptionally rich biodiversity and unique geological heritage. Among the 750 plants and 200 species of birds that have been identified throughout the area of the Natural Park, there are a few worth mentioning like the White Stork, Bonelli’s Eagle, Peregrine Falcon or the felines such as the Fox or the Iberian Linx. You’ll be resting in Sagres Village – the southernmost point in Portugal, where the Portuguese sailors learned how to sail the Caravel in the 15th Century, and gave new Worlds to the World – at the Martinhal Beach Resort & Hotel, with lovely panoramic views onto the Atlantic Ocean. We’ll welcome your arrival with a glass of wine, having, as a background, one of the best sunsets in the world, at Cabo S. Vicente.

Day 2

After breakfast you’ll be heading slightly north to the city of Lagos, passing by some of the most incredible landscapes in the Natural Park. Lagos origins date as far as 2000 years BC when it was known as Lacobriga. And the older part of the city is still surrounded by the 16th century walls. We’ll give you a taste of some exclusive delicatessens of the traditional pastry such as the “Dom Rodrigo” – perfect blend between fresh eggs, almonds, cinnamon and sugar. Tonight you’ll be staying at the Yellow Lagos Beach Resort with a privileged seafront location and exclusive atmosphere. Enjoy dinner in these spectacular surroundings….just 3 minutes walking from the beach.

We’ll take a peek at the ovens and taste this small and rustic treasure. Then you’ll continue by cycling through the narrow roads in the small and very typical country side villages with their distinctive architecture and painting – white washed houses with bands of color around the windows and doors. Just before arriving to our accommodation you’ll be visiting the Crafts Museum, and get to taste a traditional firewater “Aguardente de Medronho”, it’s an acquired taste… Finally enjoy a deserved rest at Longevity Wellness Resort, with a minimalist design and décor and a concept of wellbeing.
