Rendezvous with pristine nature of Serbia and Macedonia, while learning about their culture and traditions. From hikes and boat rides in breathtaking surroundings to city sightseeing and traditional flavors, you will discover it all.
Day 1. Arrival Belgrade / Welcome dinner with music & local cuisine delicious
Transfer to Hotel . Introducing capital Belgrade and local dinner in the bohemian part Skadarlia.
Day 2. Adventure the Serbian capital, then nature will greets you in a protected wildlife.
Walking to the fortress and park Kalemegdan, following with excursion to Zasavica Natural reserve, protected natural area with diverse wildlife and bird species. After lunch drive to West Serbia visiting the Royal Spa Koviljaca. Overnight in the ethno village Suncana reka on the Drina River.
Day 3. From touching the Peace of monastery to Serbian western pearl River Drina
Transfer to Ljubovija. Hiking tour to Sokolske mountains. Meeting with nuns, snack and coffee break. Hiking tour through the exciting Nature and old ruins of the fortress Sokograd. Traditional lunch in the ethno village Vrhpolje on Drina river. Visit a famous Serbian distillery .
Day 4. Boat trip through breathtaking landscapes of intact green paradise
Short transfer to National park Tara. Walking tour through the hearth of the National park with breathtaking views over the river Drina and Zaovina lake. Hop on the boat on Perucac (lunch on the boat) and adventure drive along the Lake through the National park.
Day 5. Ride the railway line “Sargan 8”. Capture the magnificent eagles fly over the Uvac meanders Start the exciting old fashioned train ride with unique narrow gauge railway. Traditional lunch in the village. Hiking tour along the meanders of Uvac and photo safari with Eagles flying above. Visiting Etno Village museum of handcrafted wool production.
Day 6. Enchanting Age of Kings to Serbian western mountains air spa,
The tour starts in the etno village Terzica Avlija, a museum of heritage of Serbian living culture. Boat drive through the West Morava gorge with the medieval monasteries. After lunch a hiking tour to the breathless panoramic sights above the gorge. We continue to the medieval monastery of Zica, where Serbian king – Stefan First was crowned. Arrival in the famous Serbian Spa Vrnjacka Banja.
Day 7. Spa time connected with wine & nature, devils in Devil Town. Welcome to Nis.
Taking a spirit of Spa Vrnjacka Banja by a walking tour. Wine tasting in local winery in Aleksandrovac with a small snack. Continuing drive to the monument of nature, “Devil’s Town”, visiting and meeting with legends walking tour. Drive to the city of Nis, birthplace of Constantine the Great.
Day 8. Friendship between history, wine and nature. Welcome to the capital of Macedonia
After visiting remarkable Nis fortress and Skull Tower we will enjoy lunch in the Malca winery. On the way to Skopje, short stay in unique landscapes of lake of Vlasina. Transfer to Macedonia and Skopje.
Day 9. Skopje bird’s eye view, followed by one of new wonders of nature
Reach the top of the mountain Vodno and the Millenium Cross. Take a boat ride to one of the deepest underwater caves in the world, listed as one of the top 77 sites of the New7 Wonders of Nature. After lunch with spectacular view transfer to National Park of Mavrovo.
Day 10. Rural Macedonian experience and authentic local food. Welcome to Ohrid
Transfer to village of Galichnik, for a unique experience of goat milking, saddling and bridling horses followed by horse riding with breath taking scenery. Local lunch with traditional food and Macedonian aperitif. Visit Rostushe and hike to waterfall Duf. Transfer to Ohird, Jerusalem of the Balkans.
Day 11. Travel back in time in the UNESCO heritage site
City sightseeing tour of the Old Town of Ohrid, full of medieval and Byzantium churches, the Ancient Theatre, Tsar Samuil’s Fortress and visit to the first Slavic University. Boat ride on a traditional “kajche” to Biljana Springs for lunch. Balance time at leisure for the remaining of the day.
Day 12. Become a local and part of Macedonian culture. Welcome to National Park Pelister
Transfer to Prespa Lake passing by St. Naum monastery for a short visit and through one of the Macedonian’s National Parks – Galichica, for one of a kind view of both lakes .Unique village experience, meeting the locals and lunch in Brajchino. Visit in the city of consuls-Bitola. Transfer to Pelister.
Day 13. Journey from tranquillity and rocky mountain to one of kind wine experience
Transfer to the peaceful monastery Treskavec, located on a higher rocky altitude. Hike to the village of Varos, passing by medieval Marko’s Towers. Drive to Popova Kula Winery, for lunch and wine degustation of the only wine in the world made from Stanushina grape. Transfer to Strumica.
Day 14. Connect with pure nature of Eastern Macedonia
Transfer to Koleshino waterfall and then to the nearby Smolare village, enjoying the tranquility of the nature with a mild hike to the waterfall. After lunch in a restaurant in the village drive to the most significant eco region in Macedonia – Malesevo.
Day 15. Unwind and breathe in, before unforgettable farewell dinner
Mild hike to the authentic sheepfold. Taste pure nature wild fruits and pick up some tea herbs on the way (depending on the season). Barbecue in the surrounding with mesmerizing view to last a life time. Transfer to Skopje for a Macedonian theme night with traditional food and folk dance.
Day 16. Goodbye Skopje
After breakfast, free time in Skopje. Transfer to Airport. Departure.
