You will also visit Ngorongoro Crater home of African Big 5 Animals, Tarangire National Parks

Day 1: Arrival Day Kilimanjaro International Airport

Day 2: Tarangire National Park

You will arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport, meet our team, we will give you a briefing of your Safari itinerary and Start your first day at Tarangire NP. You will travel up to Tarangire which is the surprise package on the Northern circuit. Often overshadowed by the Serengeti and the Ngorongoro Crater, Tarangire has immense concentrations of game in the peak months and a fraction of the visitors that go to any of the other Northern parks. The game viewing here from July through to October is superb and the atmosphere and habitat is completely different from the other parks. The real prizes in the park are dwarf mongoose, Oryx and generuk but viewings are very rare. Tarangire is one of Tanzania’s finest birding destinations.

If you visit the park during the dry season, you will witness an unforgettable natural wonder as you can observe wonderful creatures such as lions, Leopard, cheetah, giraffes, buffaloes, wildebeests and zebras as well as various types of antelopes and gazelles and with a little luck, you can also spot a python.

Accommodation: FB

  • Eileens Tree inn Lodge

Day 3: Serengeti National Park (Central Seronera Area)

After an early breakfast, depart towards the most famous National park in the World, the Serengeti. The driving itself, although long, is spectacular. This will be an unforgettable moment for anyone seeing it for the first time. As you progress well into the Serengeti, you will see why the name means, in local language, “endless plains”. The park has 6,900 sq. mile (18,000 sq. km) and for most of it, the plains will stretch to the horizon defying your senses and perception of distances. It is the home of the Great Migration and to 2 million wildebeests, hundreds of thousands of zebras and all kinds of antelopes. As for Big Cats and large predators, it’s the place of choice to look out for lions, cheetahs, leopards, hyenas, with many television scenes like the famous river crossings having been filmed in this park.

Accommodation:-  FB

  • Serengeti Heritage Luxury Tented Camp (Kogatende Area)

Day 4: Full Day Serengeti National Park (Seronera – Kogatende Area)

After breakfast, you drive to the northern part of the Serengeti for a game drive along the Mara River. Depending on rainfall, the spectacular crossings of the Mara River can begin as early as Jully or as late as August. The wildebeest and zebras must survive the Nile crocodiles and fast-flowing water before facing the lions waiting on the other side. This time of the year game viewing is sensational, impressive, and dramatic.

Accommodation:-  FB

  • Serengeti Heritage Luxury Tented Camp (Kagatende Area)

Day 5: Serengeti National Park (Following the Great Migration North Serengeti)

Another day of morning and afternoon game drives in the North Serengeti along the Mara River. Dust exploding, lions stalking a moveable feast, gigantic crocodiles and fast flowing wild rivers await the herds as they head north. The river crossing of thousands of wildebeest and zebra is absolutely one of the most breathtaking natural wonders in Africa.

Hot Air Balloon Ride Option: Be one of only a few fortunate people to glide in a Hot Air Balloon over the Serengeti Plains (available at supplementary cost by pre-arrangement). Floating silently above the awakening bush, while spotting wildlife and enjoying the amazing scenery of Africa, across rivers and over numerous small villages

4 Days Budget Tanzania Wildlife Exploration – Small Group Joining Maxmum 6 People per vehicle

Written By Emanuel Sarun

Tour Overview:

This unforgettable tour will take you to the Serengeti National Park, the heart of wild Africa and a massive wilderness of 14500 square km. Your African safari will also take you to the Ngorongoro Crater, featuring one of the highest concentrations of game in Africa. Lastly your tour will take you to the Lake Manyara National Park, one of Tanzania’s most dramatically located wildlife areas, consisting of a shallow but huge soda lake, at the foot of the Great Rift Valley’s western escarpment.

Safari Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival Day

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be greeted by one of our experienced guides / driver, and they will take you to Arusha where we will take our rest in Africa so we will rest at the hotel. We will give you a short safari brief for the next day.

Accommodation:-

  • Venice Hotel – Arusha town (BB)

Day 2: Moshi town to Lake Manyara National Park

After breakfast drive to Lake Manyara National Park. The first view as you approach Lake Manyara National Park is very spectacular, regardless of direction. When you approach it from the east, the Rift Valley escarpment looms on the horizon forming impressive backdrop to the lake. If you come from the west and pause at the top of the escarpment, the park lies in a green strip below you and the lake glistening in the sunlight.

You will be able to see tree climbing lions which are the park’s main attraction. Why these lions habitually climb trees is still up for debate but viewing a pride relaxing in an acacia tree is an incredible site. The park is also famous for its elephant, huge number of baboons and due to its varied landscape has an impressive range of other game including wildebeest, buffalo, hippo, Leopard, flamingo, zebra, warthog, waterbuck, dik-dik, and impala. This small park is also home to over 400 species of birds, including flamingos, pelicans, storks and cormorants.

Note: You can exchange this park with Tarangire National park or add extra day for it.

Accommodation:- Full Board

  • Panorama Public/Twiga campsite

Day 2: Lake Manyara National Park to Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, transfer to Serengeti National Park. The park is teaming with wildlife and it is thought that over 3 million large mammals roam the plains. The extensive grasslands are interspersed with “kopjes” which are rocky outcrop islands in the flat plains, each with its own wildlife communities. Picnic lunch enroute.

The park is famous for its endless plains and the savannah vegetation that it owns, balloon safari and been the richest park full of wildlife and birdlife elsewhere in Africa. The park also supports many species of wildlife including Lion, African Leopard, African Elephant, cheetah, African Buffalo, Thomson’s and Grant’s gazelle, topi, eland, water buck, hyena, baboon, impala, African wild dog and giraffe. The park also boasts about 500 bird species, including ostrich, secretary bird, Kori bustard, crowned crane, marabou stork, martial eagle, lovebirds and many species of vultures.

Accommodation:- Full Board

  • Seronera Public campsite

Day 3: Sunrise adventure in Serengeti National Park to Ngorongoro

It is the migration of large mammals for which Serengeti is perhaps most famous. Over 1.5 million wildebeest and about 400,000 zebras take part in this migration which essentially involves three famous and important protected areas Serengeti and Ngorongoro in Tanzania and the Masai Mara reserve in Kenya.

It is a clockwise migratory movement, during which sequence, the animals start arriving at the eastern Serengeti short grass plains in late November – December where calving of the wildebeests takes place. At the end of the long rains, the migration heads westwards and then turns north to arrive in Masai Mara reserve in late August –September. Lunch at the lodge. Afternoon transfer to Ngorongoro and game drive enrote.

The park supports many species of wildlife including Lion, African Leopard, African Elephant, cheetah, African Buffalo, Thomson’s and Grant’s gazelle, topi, eland, water buck, hyena, baboon, impala, African wild dog and giraffe.

Accommodation:- Full Board

  • Ngorongoro Simba campsite

Day 4: Morning adventure on the Ngorongoro crater floor (home of the big five)

The animals here are not trapped, but there are some migratory movements in and out of the crater. Because of the protected nature of the habitat and the availability of grazing pastures and water, much of the animal population has become resident year round. This makes Ngorongoro an ideal area for game viewing.

Ngorongoro Crater is the 8th wonder of the world. It hosts an estimated 30,000 large mammals on its floor, including large herds of buffaloes, wildebeests, elands, hartebeest elephants, hippos, lions and the endangered black rhino. The crater being 12 miles wide 2,000 feet deep, and covering an area of 102 square miles, it is the largest intact volcanic crater on the earth. Picnic lunch at the crater floor, afternoon game drive on the crater floor. Late afternoon transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport to connect with your flight back home.
