DAY 01 (L D H ) KUALA LUMPUR – RAINFOREST TAMAN NEGARA (Drive time 3 1/2 hours).

NOTE: The Canopy Walkway is closed for renovation until further notice.
Taman Negara is a 130 million years old tropical rainforest  with endangered animals as in Tigers, Elephants, Sun Bears, Tapirs , 14000 flowering plants, 300 bird species etc.
BATU CAVES Climb 272 steps into the temple of Hindu Deity Lord Subramaniam who is honored during the Hindu festival of Thaipusam every year. Devotees give thanks for vows fulfilled. Ladies to be properly attired to enter the temple – knees and shoulders to be covered.
KUALA TAHAN FLOATING CAFE  On arrival at Kuala Tahan, Have lunch at the Floating Cafe.
RAPIDS SHOOTING The boatman negotiates 7 sets of rapids  – a take home experience.
ABORIGINE VILLAGE  They live care free lives and the rainforest is their supermarket. Watch their fire making skills and blowpipe hunting techniques.
JUNGLE TREKKING The exciting trekking takes about 45 minutes. The Nature guide will belt out facts and taboos of Taman Negara – medicinal plants, poisonous plants and aphrodisiacs  as he takes you on a jungle expedition.

Cameron Highlands is a hill resort with cool temperatures known for its farmlands, tea plantations, nurseries, waterfalls, rivers, lakes wildlife, aborigines…
TANAH RATA  The biggest township in the Camerons. Malaysian Lunch. Free and easy.
TEA PLANTATION a scenery of greenery. The BOH TEa Plantation was set up in 1929 by a British businessman Sir John Russell. It works closely with the WWF in the conservation of our endangered Tigers, Elephants and Orang Utan.  The tea cafe sells various teas and part of the proceeds goes towards this conservation effort. A noble deed indeed !
BUTTERFLY FARM AND INSECTARIUM  A secret paradise of butterflies and insects that dance on scented flowers. A Farm tour has been arranged for you.
STRAWBERRY FARM  Hand pick fresh strawberries for a fee (optional).
VEGETABLE MARKET Take a stroll to see a showcase of vegetables, fruits and flowers grown in the Camerons. Check in to hotel. Free at leisure. 1900hrs  Malaysian dinner and bring along sweaters as the nites are cold.
DAY 03 (B L H ) CAMERON HIGHLANDS – PENANG ISLAND
(Drive time 3 hours)
UNESCO HERITAGE CITY PENANG ISLAND
One of the most beautiful touristic locations in Malaysia. Penang is also known as a food haven with colonial landmarks as in Fort Cornwallis, where Sir Francis Light first landed in 1786.
CLAN JETTY You will see houses on stilts with walkways made of plank partly submerged in water.
TRISHAW RIDE THROUGH GEORGETOWN  The Trishaw ride is most interesting as you get to have a fair idea of Penang Island’s set up.
BATU FERINGGHI BELT The happening place in Penang Island. Water sports as in Jet skiing, Para Sailing, wind surfing. Dining options of seafood restaurants, street food selling fascinating Malaysian as well as International cuisine and seafront night markets. Your hotel is here and you are left undisturbed to enjoy the sights and sounds of Penang and the sun, sea and sand. Every year in March a festival is held in honor of their ancestors where the villagers ask for better fortunes, good health and protection from evil. A village tour has been specially arranged with a Mah Meri Village Guide.
SCENIC COUNTRYSIDE  A drive past with photo shoot of houses on stilts.
SILVERED LEAF MONKEYS Meet and greet the slender, intelligent and grey colored monkeys that live in social groups found in coastal mangrove forests in Kuala Selangor.
SEAFOOD DINNER After a frolicking time with the monkeys, adjourn to a riverside cafe for a sumptuous seafood dinner with complimentary 1 BIG bottle of beer for each guest.
MESMERIZING FIREFLIES  Catch a boat to watch fireflies in all their glory. Fireflies are lightning Bugs that shine brightly at night to attract a suitable partner. They feed, rest and make love daily – a mating ritual.  Their synchronous flash is produced by a bio chemical reaction  in their light organs situated on their bottoms. A sight to behold ! Malacca was an International Trading Port. The Chinese brought Gold, Silk and Buddhism.  The Siamese brought Ivory and Buddhism. The Indians Cloth and Hinduism and the Arabs brought Pearls, Perfumes and Islam.

1511 Portuguese Occupation  1641  Dutch Occupation 1795 British occupation and they left us with Independence on 31 August 1957.

0800hrs Our English speaking Tour Coordinator will fetch you from your Singapore Hotel reception and bring you over to Malaysia.  You will be driven to Malacca and after a sumptuous Malaysian lunch, the tour starts…

ST PETER’S CHURCH 1710 Oldest Roman Catholic Church in Malaysia.
KAMPONG MORTEN 1920 – Traditional Malay Village with die-hard customs and traditions as in traditional wear, musical instruments, antique furniture. STADTHUYS 1650 – Formerly Dutch Governor’s house now Historic Museum.  ST PAUL’S HILL AND A FAMOSA 1512 – A Chapel and the Fort was built by the Portuguese and what stands now is  the Gateway of the Fort.  JONKERS’ STREET – the street of antiquities and many souvenirs about Malacca’s rich past. Lunch would be at Jonkers’ Street and than take a stroll through Jonkers’ Street.   Check in to hotel. Free and easy. 1900hrs  Proceed for dinner and you may continue with your walkabout of Jonkers.

DAY 02 ( B L D H ) MALACCA – KUALA LUMPUR.

After breakfast depart for the Capital City of Kuala Lumpur, enroute bonus stop at the iconic Batu Caves and climb 272 steps into the temple of Hindu Deity Lord Subramaniam who is honored during Thaipusam every year. Devotees give thanks for vows fulfilled. Ladies to be properly attired to enter the temple – knees and shoulders to be covered. This is at the temple grounds only.

Visit the National Monument – a War Memorial for the dead soldiers. The Sultan Abdul Samad Building is a unique colonial landmark of Moorish design where Malaya got her independence from the British on 31 August 1957. St Mary’s Cathedral and the Selangor Clubhouse of  Tudor design were the other landmarks. Check in to hotel. Free at leisure to explore on your own.

The ride takes you to an aborigine village and see their fire making skills and blowpipe hunting techniques. The rainforest is their supermarket and they live care free lives. The experienced Nature Guide will belt out facts and taboos of the jungle as he takes you Jungle Trekking. The trekking will lead you to a mesmerizing Rainforest Waterfalls. You can enjoy a cool dip. 1700hrs  Check in to hotel. Free at leisure. 1900hrs  Dinner at the Floating Cafe followed by Nite Jungle walk. 0800hrs  Depart for Camerons and lunch at Tanah Rata. Then visit a tea plantation – a scenery of greenery unfolds as you sip tea from the Tea Cafe. The plantation works hand in hand with WWF in the conservation of our Orang Utan, Tigers and Elephants. Then visit a Butterfly Farm – a secret paradise of butterflies and insects that dance on scented flowers and ferns. A farm tour has been arranged. Hand pick fresh strawberries for a fee (Optional). and take a stroll through the Vegetable market to see a showcase of various products grown in the Camerons.  1700hrs  Check in to hotel. DAY 05 (B L H ) CAMERON HIGHLANDS – PENANG ISLAND

Penang Island is a thriving tourist destination listed as a UNESCO Heritage site with colonial landmarks and also a melting pot of history. Most international hotels and restaurants are located at the happening place of Batu Feringghi. Penang is also known as a food haven.

0800hrs  Depart for Penang Island. On arrival lunch followed by visits to the Clan Jetty, Trishaw ride through Georgetown – capital of Penang and drive past Fort Cornwallis where Sir Francis Light – the founder of Penang first landed in 1786.  Visit the sleeping Buddha before drop off at your hotel in Batu Feringghi. The hotel boasts of water sports as in Jet Skiing, Para Sailing, wind surfing. Dining options of seafood restaurants, street food selling fascinating Malaysian as well as International Cuisine and seafront night markets.
