A series of scale models demonstrates the death throes of a ship until its final disintegration, when it is buried by sand.

It is the geographic southern tip of the African continent and the beginning of the dividing line between the Atlantic and Indian Oceans according to the International Hydrographic Organization.

THE WESTCOAST

Written By Christ Sadi

ITINERARY

HIGHLIGHTS OF TOUR

  • Evita se Perron
  • Postberg

Evita se Perron is at the old Darling railway station, and is a combination of a theatre that seats 80, a restaurant-bar in the form of Perron number 2, Evita se kombuis (kitchen), which offers a selection of boerekos (traditional ‘farmers’ food) with a twist, and Bambi’s Berlin bar – the only wine bar in the world to offer Evita Blanc, Evita Noir and Evita Amber wines.

The Postberg Flower Reserve is not always available for you to visit. Even though it forms part of the WestCoast National Park, this part of it is disturbed as little as possible so that, when spring comes, great swathes of flowers can erupt in virtually every nook and cranny of the reserve and reward everyone for their patience.
