Cultural Food & Beer Crawl in Barrio Logan

Owner/Founder and head guide at Taste Venture Tours. For the last decade, I was a professional Pastry Chef working in kitchens from San Diego to New York.
As a former chef and avid traveler, I started Taste Venture Tours as a way to create global connections over the dinner table through our communities and its people.
Barrio Logan is one of my hometown’s best-kept secrets, but people are starting to notice this rich and vibrant Mexican-American neighborhood as a culinary hot spot. Let me give you the VIP treatment as we visit three local spots with some awesome food & beer along the way for purchase. As we walk, we will pass art, galleries, and collections of Chicano murals throughout the neighborhood where I will talk about the rich local history.
I have always been obsessed with food, travel, & photography; especially being able to share and exchange knowledge of a city’s local food culture. Our first stop we will quench our thirst and sample our first local beers. I will be happy to recommend some of my favorites! Our second tasting we will get to meet with some friends and see where the beer is made as I provide some of the best tacos in the neighborhood. We will then take in the scenery/history of Chicano Park and head over to finish up with some exploring the main strip then grabbing our last drink at my favorite beer garden!
