Day 1: Lima
Upon arriving in the city of Lima, you will be welcomed by one of our representatives, who will give you a brief introduction to the city and also to our services on route to the hotel.
In the afternoon, your visit of Lima starts at Historical Center: Plaza Mayor, location of the Government Palace, City Hall, Cathedral and Archbishop’s Palace. You’ll visit the Convent and Saint Francis Church, the largest monumental group in Colonial Art found in America and classified as Humanity’s Cultural and Historic Heritage. The tour includes a visit to the Basiclic, that offers 21 altars, cloisters, Capitular and Clementine Halls, choir and a monks library, the museum that exhibits 11 paintings of the Rubens school, the Sacristy displaying paintings by Surbaran and Ribera, the inside patio decorated with 16th century Seville tiles, Moorish arches and catacombs. Then, continue to the elegant residential districts, such as San Isidro and Miraflores, from where you’ll enjoy an excellent view of the Pacific Ocean. Overnight in Lima
Day 2: Lima – Cusco
Early in the morning, private transfer to Lima airport to board a flight to Cusco.
Upon arriving in the city of Cusco, you will be welcomed by one of our representatives, who will assist you in and will provide a few guidelines for your stay. Morning free to have a rest.
In the afternoon, start a tour of Cusco visiting the Plaza Mayor, Cathedral and Temple of the Sun or KoriKancha. Continue to the city suburbs to visit the Inca complexes of Kenko, Tambomachay, Puca Pucara and the impressive Sacsayhuaman Fortress, strategically built on a hill dominating Cusco, famous for the huge stones of its external walls, cut and assembled with stunning precision. Some of these stones are more than 30 feet tall and weigh over 700,000 pounds. Return to Cusco for overnight at the hotel.
Day 3: Cusco: Machu Picchu
Enjoy early breakfast at the hotel before your transfer to the railroad station to start a short trip to the Machu Picchu Citadel, also known as the “Lost city of the Inca” and considered one of the new Wonders of the World. Exit the train at the Aguas Calientes station to take the bus for a 30 minute drive along a meandering path leading to the marvelous citadel. As soon as you disembark you’ll start your guided tour of the site, visiting the Main Plaza, Circular Tower, Sacred Solar Clock, royal apartments, Temple of the 3 Windows and the cemeteries.
Free time to allow you to walk around and enjoy the mystic energy and natural beauty of the site before returning to Aguas Calientes for buffet lunch. Return to Cusco in the afternoon for overnight at the hotel.

Day 4: Cusco / Puerto Maldonado: Lodge
We will pick you up at your hotel early in the morning and drive you to the Cusco airport, from where you will board your flight to Puerto Maldonado.
Upon arrival at Puerto Maldonado (the World Capital of Biodiversity), you will be met by your guide at the airport who will take you to the main port. The boat trip on the Tambopata River will last approximately two hours with lunch served on board.
A cocktail reception will welcome you to Cayman Lodge Amazonie. Short visit of the lodges and accommodation will soon follow.
At the end of the afternoon, we’ll have for an excursion to discover nocturnal wildlife and hear sounds of the jungle in the rainforest.

Day 5: Puerto Maldonado: Lodge
After an early breakfast, you’ll go for a one and a half hour jungle hike through the primary forest.
Once at Condenado Lake we’ll take canoes to observe different colorful birds, macaws, mammals and howler monkeys.
After lunch, we’ll head to a local farm to discover and taste fruits of the region.
We’ll then go back to the lodge where you’ll have the chance to relax in the hammocks facing the Tambopata River. Once the night comes, we’ll go for a boat ride to observe caymans and capybaras along the banks of the river.

Day 6: Puerto Maldonado: Lodge/ Lima
On the way back don’t miss the unforgettable views of the sunrise over the river. You will also be able to observe the morning flora and fauna which are particularly active at this time of the day and hear the frequent cries of the howler monkeys.
Your guide will take you to the airport, from where you will board your return flight to Lima and in order to take the connection flight.
