Written By Admin
Cycling around the island of Hvar we will go through picturesque villages which were constructed in the Greek and Roman times, passing through many olive groves and vineyards. Our cycling tours are lead by our professional guide and will go along some of the main roads and also rural and quiet roads, that will bring you to small hidden vilages, with their traditional architecture. Biking pace will be adjusted to the group, and we will take breaks according to your wishes.
We start our tour from Stari grad town – literally “Old Town” – the oldest settlement on the island, and one of the first on all of the Adriatic islands, and cycle towards Svirce, a picturesque small village surrounded by vineyards, and is the place where one of the best wines and olive oils are produced. The tour will continue through Pitve, another beautiful village dating all the way to Iliric time and is one of the oldest places on the island. From Pitve we will reach the seaside town of Jelsa, the third biggest place on the island with a rich cultural and traditional history. On our way will will see traditional architecture and way of living, and maybe even try some home made wine and traditional food.
