FD Sal Island (Cape Verde)
Written By Admin
A great way of knowing Sal and all its beauty.
The departure is made at the hotel reception at 9 am and we will go to the northern part of the island. Afterwards there is a short stop in Espargos for you to get to know the administrative centre of the island. Afterwards we will go to Palmeira, a small fishermen village, where you can buy some genuine cape verdian products in the local handicraft shop.
We will continue our trip through the rock coast, and we will stop at Buracona with its natural swimming pool and the famous cave of Olho Azul (means blue eye). After this stop, where you can relax, have a bath in this wonderful natural swimming pool and have lunch , we follow through the desert of Terra Boa where we can observe its famous mirages.
Afterwards, we will visit Pedra de Lume and its salinas (Salt mines) which led the actual name of this island, here you can have a bath in the lake with high concentration of salt.
Before returning to the hotel we will pay a visit to Santa Maria.
