From the archeological site you’ll hike for a day to reach the shores of lake titicaca. Follows 3 days cruising on the lake and its small islands with a small motor boat from local people. On the other end of the lake you’ll keep going with a bicycle to cross a pass before you’ll enjoy thelong downhill to Sorata – a village at the bottom of a steep valley. From there you can grab the opportunity to climb Ancohuma, 3rd highest summit in Bolivia with its 6427m (5days epxedition). Back in Sorata, starts the long descent into the cloud forest. You’ll get lost in Nature for a whole week without seeing civilization, following an ancient pre columbian trail. It got forgotten in the past decades so you’ll need the machete to open your way ! Once your finally out of it, you’ll build a Raft to glide along an afluent of the Amazon river. The first days you’ll see the gold mining activities taking place along the river. You’ll the enter Madididi national park which is primary Amazon forest, and the NP containing the most biodiversity on earth ! That’s it. You now reached Rurrenabaque first bigger city in the Amazon bassin (bolivian side) and you can choose wether you drive back to La Paz by bus or fly back.
