A stunning experience of Peru’s natural and cultural beauty

This trip perfectly combines cultural and natural beauty; we will enjoy the challenge of the ecosystem and the magnificent view of the snow-capped Salkantay mountain during our trek. Salkantay is considered to be the most striking mountain of the range of Vilcabamba. The trek takes us back to the time of the Incas and makes us aware of the spirit of the mountains such as the Tucarhuay or the Humantay which peak higher than 5000 meters (16404 feet). Along the way we’ll visit a local coffee farming family living in rural Peru. We will learn how coffee is made and experience their way of life. Following our Machu Picchu trek we will head to Puerto Maldonado and the beautiful Refugio Amazonas nestled in the jungle. Each day we will partake in wildlife experiences, journeys along the Tambopata river (a tributary to the Amazon river), meet local communities working to conserve their environment, and go on a night hike to see and hear the wildlife in the jungle at night!
