MUGHAL ARCHITECTURE AND GRANDEUR OF RAJPUTANA LAND – GOLDEN TRIANGLE TOUR

(DELHI – JAIPUR- BHARATPUR- FATHEPUR SIKRI – AGRA – DELHI)
Day 01: Delhi
Arrival at Delhi International airport where you will be received by the company representatives with a traditional welcome and garlands. Transfer to the hotel and check-in at the hotel. In the evening we will visit Central Delhi, Humayun’s Tomb, the tomb of the forgotten solder, India Gate. Followed by a visit to the Rastharapati Bhawan (From outside the gates). Evening visit to Connaught Place market and post that drop back to the hotel
Day 2 : Delhi City tour
Morning breakfast in the hotel and then proceed for visit to the Old Delhi (Mughal Sultanate). We start our tour with the visit to the seat of the sultanate, the Red Fort. It was the residence of Mughal emperor for nearly 200 years, until 1857. Then we will take a walk through by lanes of Old Delhi to experience traditional Indian lifestyle and culture, to explore heritage buildings and hear your guide share ancient stories with you. And this will lead us to Jama Masjid, the largest mosque in India. Walk through the bazaars of Chandni Chowk. Make a visit to the Gurudwara (Sikh Temple). Stop by one of the famous streets of old Delhi to enjoy paranthas, a popular Indian flatbread that is commonly enjoyed as a snack. Enjoy a short rickshaw ride on your way to the spice market. In the evening , we take a tour to the colonial grandeurs and the important government complexes of the country. This area is Named after the leading British architect Edwin Lutyens, who was responsible for much of the architectural design and building when India was part of the British Empire. You will also get take a walk around Connaught Place, shopping hub of Delhi, and get to understand the architecture of the area and the significant changes that it have witnessed over the years. As you will continue further they will come across many more architecturally and politically significant areas/building. You will visit the politically most important building – Rashtrapati Bhavan (from outside) , the official residence of the Indian President and get to see the colour ful light show it presents after Sundown
Day 03: Delhi – Jaipur:
In the morning we visit the Rajghat (final resting place for Mahatma Gandhi) and post that proceed to Jaipur and reach by afternoon. Check- in to the hotel . By the evening we visit the modern attractions of the city which includes the Birla Auditorium, New Vidhan Sabha, Birla Mandir and Jawahar Kala Kendra. Later we experience the Rajasthani dinner, folk music and dance with complete rural atmosphere in an ethnic village.
Day 04: Jaipur:
We spend the day visiting the bazaars and the City Palace in the Pink city and after lunch at the Amber Fort. We keep our evening engaged with stunning view of the Pink city from the hills of Nahargarh Fort and a breathtaking sunset. Overnight at Jaipur.
Day 05: Jaipur –Bharatpur – Fatehpur Sikri – Agra :
Early morning departure for Agra. On the way we will be visiting Bharatpur bird sanctuary (Keoladeo National Park) – Keoladeo National Park is a vast bird sanctuary and former royal game reserve in the north Indian state of Rajasthan. South of the ancient city of Bharatpur, the park’s woods and man-made wetlands protect over 350 species of migratory and resident birds, including herons, cormorants and eagles. After which we will proceed to Fatehpur Sikri – Fatehpur Sikri is a small city in northern India, just west of Agra, founded by a 16th-century Mughal emperor. Red sandstone buildings cluster at its center. Buland Darwaza gate is the entrance to Jama Masjid mosque. Nearby is the marble Tomb of Salim Chishti. Diwan-E-Khas hall has a carved central pillar. After the visit to Fatehpur Sikri we will proceed to Agra. Arrive at Agra and check In to the hotel.
Day 6: Agra – Taj Mahal
Today we visit Taj Mahal (Closed on Friday), symbol of eternal love, which stands on the banks of River Yamuna. It was built by the 5th Mughal Emperor, Shah Jahan in the year 1631 in memory of his wife, Mumtaz Mahal. It was completed in 22 years. Further we visit Agra Fort, taken over from the Lodhis by the Mughal Emperor Akbar in the late 16th century. The Fort can be more accurately described as a walled palatial city. It was built from red sandstone, often inlaid with white marble & intricate decorations. We will also visit Sikandara, Akbar’s tomb. His son Jahangir completed the construction of the tomb in the year 1613. Will stay the overnight In Agra
Day 7 : Agra – Delhi
Post breakfast we transfer to Delhi. Day available for last minute shopping of gifts and Souvenirs’ for friends and family. Transfer to the airport as for your onwards journey, as per the flight schedule
