Private guided tours in Cape Town
Written By Admin
We offer private guided tours for travellers who want to take their time, interact with locals and surroundings, and enjoy the benefit of a personal, friendly, experienced guide who is flexible and willing to go the extra mile to make your holiday memorable. See the best of Cape Town on our 3-day special package.
One: an orientation tour of this historic ‘Mother City’, the Company’s Garden, and the V&A Waterfront – a vibrant working harbour bustling with attractions for all tastes – we have lunch at one of the many excellent restaurants here. After lunch we take a drive through the quaint colourful suburb of Bo-Kaap, and continue with a scenic drive to the top of Signal Hill overlooking the city, Table Bay and the suburbs of Sea Point and Green Point. The highlight of the day is a cable car ride to the top of the most iconic landmark in South Africa – Table Mountain.
Two: a circular complete tour of the beautiful Cape Peninsula including Hout Bay, Chapman’s Peak Drive, Cape Point Nature Reserve, the Cape of Good Hope, Diaz Beach, lunch overlooking the magnificent False Bay, a visit to an African Penguin colony at Boulders Beach. We deliberately don’t add anything else in this day so that you can take as long as you like at Cape Point – this is not a reserve to rush through, but is best enjoyed at leisure to see all corners of the dramatic tip of Africa and the animals that are only to be found in the small side roads. If we do have time left at the end of the day we’ll visit the lovely valley of Constantia with the oldest wine estate in South Africa or Rhodes Memorial overlooking the suburbs on the slopes of the mountain.
Three: showcases our world-renowned Cape Winelands and is also a circular trip so you get to see as much as possible with no repeats. First off is a chocolate and wine pairing in Stellenbosch, then along the scenic road surrounded by gorgeous wine estates and into this historic old town to see the street with the highest number of national monuments in the whole of South Africa. For rugby fans – this is the home of South African rugby! After visiting Stellenbosch we head off along the Helshoogte Mountain Pass to visit a few more wine estates and arrive in Franschhoek – the French corner of the Cape – just in time for lunch. Depending on the season and weather we may have a luxurious picnic at a wine estate or lunch overlooking this picturesque valley which is not called the ‘gourmet capital of South Africa’ for nothing. After lunch we end the day with a bubbly tasting and the drive back to Cape Town through more vineyard-rich country. We select a variety of wine estates to showcase the historic as well as the modern, and also the variety of our wines!
