Setubal Wine-tasting Tour
Written By Admin
Heading south from Lisbon (Portugal) we will reach Azeitão, a picturesque region famous for its cheese and wines. From here on we will have the opportunity to visit several of the region’s wine cellars. One of the renowned cellars is José Maria da Fonseca, where you will get to know all its history and at the end sample some of the wines that they produce. Quinta de Alcube is another cellar owned by a family for over a century. It´s a traditional production cellar, producing only 250 000 bottles a year and that is only sold directly to customers, being difficult to find in shops. The third cellar we’ll visit is Quinta da Bacalhôa, more modern in terms of production and history. To end this “adventure” we will take you to another family owned cellar, Lima Fortuna, to get to know what they produce and even taste the famous regional cheeses, sweets and a liqueur that is made from a 450 year old recipe. Besides all this, we will show you the Arrábida National mountain range and its natural reserve where you can experience all the beautiful natural views, its history, gastronomy and beaches (in summer).
