Trip to the Albayzin with Andalusian breakfast
Written By Andalucía Experiencias
In the first hours of the fresh morning “granaina”, we will go out to the Moorish streets of this city to enjoy a coffee or tea accompanied by a toast with tomato and olive oil, typical Andalusian breakfast, popular in Spain is the whole delicacy having its origins in the Andalusian day labourers who had few resources.
This breakfast will be accompanied by a little bit of history and culture of the oldest Muslim neighbourhood in Granada. The Albaicin paved streets like the boiler house, full of medieval walls that lead to churches, convents, palaces and of course the famous viewpoint of San Nicolás, and its famous view in front of the Alhambra and Sierra Nevada, always in the atmosphere of the old Islamic city.
This is a neighborhood to relax, to explore all its alleys, get lost in its traditional Arab-style markets or in one of its Moorish tearooms and discover things that do not come in any guide.
We will finish the visit in the Plaza Nueva, where we will be able to walk through the historical center of the city to admire its architecture, its shops and the day to day of a millenary city.
